A Battle of Wits: Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney!
Capcom is known for publishing some pretty rad crossovers over the years: Marvel vs. Capcom, Street Fighter X Tekken/Tekken X Street Fighter, and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom are stand-outs in fan service. Luckily for gamers, Level-5 is joining Capcom to continue that tradition, with Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney. Revealed by Level-5 Tokyo, the crossover title is to be released for Nintendo 3DS, and is said to have a theme of contradictory puzzles. With a medieaval settting and Phoenix Wright defending a witch, the game looks to be not just fan service, but fan service done well. While other key details– such as how gameplay will be carried out and the release date– you can bet that this title will be one to watch out for.
Level-5 gives 3DS some love.
While the announcement of Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney is enough to make a gamer’s head explode with excitement, Level-5 didn’t stop there. Four other 3DS titles at the Level-5 Vision 2010 event in Tokyo: Time Travelers, Fantasy Life, Kyabajoppi, and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. All three look to be continuing the tradition of high-quality titles from the developer.
Krome Studios closes its doors.
It’s looking as if Krome Studios, developers of Wii titles Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Lightsaber Duels, is the latest of developers said to be closing down. While it was initially understood that the company was to issue yet another round of layoffs (following those in November 2009 and April earlier this year), it appears that all remaining staff have been let go, with the possibility of some to be rehired as contractors to finish work on remaining projects.
