We rather loved Sega 3D Classics Collection when we played it– the game is chock full of golden oldie Sega games that have been remastered and polished up for 3DS, boasting stereoscopic visuals and numerous features that should entrance new and old fans alike. Still, as fun as the collection is, no one would complain if Sega had thrown in another game or two, and as luck would have it, there is indeed an extra title floating around that has been discovered by fans!

Bumping the total offerings from nine to ten, the presence of the Master System version of Fantasy Zone serves to both boost Sega 3D Classics Collection’s software total as well as put a grin on the faces of retro enthusiast. Do the following to unlock the game:

  1. Head to the Extras section on the menu screen.
  2. Tap the area of the screen near the “Back to Menu” button. An enemy will appear!
  3. Tap the enemy. Boom! Fantasy Zone is yours.

Pretty cool that a game steeped in history like this would have a decidedly old-school secret squirreled away. One can’t help but wonder if there’s anything else hidden away in the collection that will be discovered in the coming weeks and months…
