Publisher Nippon Ichi has good news to celebrate: according to President Sohei Niikawa, Disgaea 5 Complete has sold 200,000 copies on Nintendo Switch consoles worldwide since its release in March 2017.

Niikawa also stated that Switch is one of the platforms Nippon Ichi is targeting for sequels and new IPs in 2018. Given the sales success of Switch in only ten months, that’s probably a smart move.

In the meantime, NIS America will be hosting a press event next month, but it remains to be seen what they will be announcing. While there may be some Switch announcements, localizations are more probable. It’s also possible that they may announce a Western release of Your Four Knight Princesses Training Story, which Nippon Ichi is releasing in Japan on March 8.

Do you have Disgaea 5 Complete for Switch? Are you hoping for any particular announcements from NIS America at their press event? Let us know in the comments.
