Prep your plastic guitars for an epic strum session this fall with Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock for Wii. Activision has announced that Rush’s seven-part suite from “2112” will be included in the upcoming game, which is developed by Vicarious Visions (along with Neversoft). The suite is more than 20 minutes long and will be performed while traversing three Rush-specific venues.
“I love the idea of Guitar Hero; they have combined two great things – music and fun,” said Alex Lifeson, of Rush, in an Activision press release. “I think it’s a great way to introduce people of all ages to music of various styles by all kinds of different bands, while providing a launching pad for kids who want to get into playing music.”
Along with the announcement, Activision provided a new trailer for the game, which highlights Rush songs and venues. Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock will hit Wii on Sept. 28.
I don’t play any Rock Band or Guitar Hero games, but the fact that Rush is now amoung the collection of these types of games makes them instantly awesome.
Why don’t you just turn on your ipod, grab a broom, and start air-guitaring, or singing, or drumming??
It’ll save you $60.
I never said I was going to buy the games. I just said they are instantly awesome due to Rush now being on them. I can already play a guitar & keyboard & drums. I have no desire to do so on a console.
