Three versions of Yo-kai Watch 3 have been released in Japan: Sushi, Tempura, and Sukiyaki. But for the western release of the game, Level-5 has done something a little different and combined all three versions into one game, which Level-5 describes as a “Sukiyaki+” or “Gold Edition.”
This means that every Yo-kai can be obtained in one save file, which is a relief for players who weren’t exactly thrilled with the idea of having to trade Yo-kai between three different version of the game (Level-5, however, still encourages trading.) For comparison, Yo-kai Watch 2 originally released in the west with two versions: Fleshy Souls and Bony Spirits. The third title, Psychic Specters, released a year later. Luckily, players will avoid having to deal with a similar situation this time around.
Yo-kai Watch 3 was recently released on Nintendo 3DS in Europe on December 7 and is coming to North America on February 8, 2019.
