The weather’s heating up, so it’s the perfect time to cool off with a dip in the ocean with friends — Hello Kitty and friends! The Under the Sea celebration is live in Hello Kitty Island Adventure on Nintendo Switch, and it’s adding a number of decorative and wearable items to the island’s stores for a limited time!
Players have until July 3 to collect Mermaid Scales on the beach to buy Reef and Under the Sea themed furniture and decor from Small Gift, Big Smile and the event stand, along with clothes, accessories, and new scuba gear from Tuxedo Sam’s clothing shop. Just look for the shining bubbles on the shore and walk right into them.
Fair warning, though: the furniture is expensive. Start collecting your seashells now. Just the Under the Sea Lamp alone was 150 (along with one Mermaid Scale and 13 Sparks)! The items at the event stand are more reasonable, ranging anywhere from 5 to 30 Mermaid Scales, with the most expensive item being the Under the Sea Aquarium for 30.
Switch players can also look forward to another update coming soon called The Biggest Challenge! This major content update, which just went live for Apple Arcade players, focuses on bringing Big Challenges’ dream to life: a ride atop Icy Peak! While Sunblink hasn’t said exactly when the update will be available for Switch, we’ll keep you updated once we hear more.
