Yet another video game has been announced to shut down before reaching its first anniversary. NaturalMotion’s team based arena shooter Star Wars: Hunters recently announced its shutdown coming October 1, 2025. The announcement came alongside the final roadmap for the game, detailing the extension of the current season. The final update for the game is slated for April 15, 2025 and will add a new playable character, as well as turning off all microtransactions within the game.

This announcement came out of the blue, leaving many players asking questions about planned features that are seemingly getting cut by the shutdown. It is always sad to see video games go offline, and even sadder when they don’t quite make it into public perception until they’re gone. This writer hopes for a bright future for whatever lies in store for Hunter‘s team. Did you make any fun memories playing this game? Let us know in the comments below!
