December 20, 2024. If you’re a fan of the Blue Blur, that’s the day when Sonic the Hedgehog 3 makes its way into theaters. The highly anticipated third entry in the beloved movie series has an extra layer of hyper attached to it thanks to the impending presence of a certain surly hedgehog: Shadow! The sometimes friend, sometimes enemy made his debut at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and has had fans chattering about him ever since. Now, Paramount is showing off a teaser of what’s to come in the new film:

Shadow made his debut back in Sonic Adventure 2 2001 on SEGA Dreamcast and has been a fan favorite ever since, meaning his feature film debut will likely be quite the big deal when it happens next winter. As for the Sonic series itself beyond the movies, fans will be able to next see Knuckles when his show debuts on the Paramount+ streaming service sometime in 2024, while season two of Sonic Prime is currently available on Netflix.
