Many gamers were pleasantly surprised at this year’s E3 when Nintendo revealed it would be releasing a total remake of Metroid II: Samus Returns for 3DS in September. Now, it looks like serious Metroid fans will be able celebrate the series with some special hardware as well.
Today, Nintendo announced it will release a special New 3DS XL Samus Edition on September 15 for $200. While the system is coming out on the same date as Samus Returns, it should be noted that the game is not included with the handheld so it will have to be purchased separately.
