The sheer volume of Nintendo-themed LEGO sets out in the wild these days is really rather breathtaking. From The Legend of Zelda to Super Mario to Animal Crossing, there are Nintendo LEGOs everywhere, and what’s more, they’re all pretty dang cool. Among the coolest are the sets based on classic Nintendo consoles like NES and Game Boy. Now, it seems, another piece of hardware will be joining them: the Donkey Kong arcade cabinet!
The LEGO Donkey Kong Arcade is rumored for an August launch and will set you back $200. If there’s any downside to all these LEGO collaborations, it’s the price; $200 is fairly common for these premium sets, that’s for sure. Regardless, it looks gorgeous, and if it’s like any of the previous hardware-based Nintendo builds, it might include some sort of interactive element to it. As we learn more, we’ll keep you all posted.
