Last year, theater goers outside Japan were able to catch Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You thanks to a partnership between The Pokémon Company and Fathom Events, a company known for bringing limited run films and special events to movie theaters around the world. This year, the two companies are reuniting to bring the newest Pokémon cinematic adventure to audiences outside Japan.
Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us brings Ash and Pikachu to a new town facing a series of challenges in the time leading up to an important festival celebrating the legendary Lugia. The movie also promises themes of teamwork and overcoming differences as the town’s disparate population must come together to overcome their challenges. In other words, it sounds like another family friendly adventure filled with Pokémon battles!
The film was released in Japan in July but we don’t know exactly when and where Fathom will be showing it elsewhere, so stay tuned for those details at a later date.
