Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is coming to Nintendo Switch on November 14, 2024. That’s not the only news that was reported during today’s Direct. We will also be getting both Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D trailing along in 2025.
While the Dragon Quest III remake was recently rumored a few weeks back from Square Enix, it was more exciting to finally get the release date and a preview of the amazing HD-2D visuals in the trailer:

“Experience the chronological beginning of the Erdrick Trilogy storyline in this remake of the original RPG classic, now with vibrant HD-2D visuals and an expanded narrative! Set out on an epic fantasy adventure as The Hero to save the world from the dark forces of the evil Archfiend, Baramos. Travel through a vast world full of towns, dungeons and caves to explore, meet a cast of lively characters and fight ferocious monsters in modernized turn-based battles.”
While we get the third installment in a few months, we are expecting to get both the first and second bundled together also with an HD-2D remake next year. How excited are you to see this remastered Dragon Quest trilogy come to Switch? Let us know below in the comments.
