Nintendo is giving gamers (or at least those in Europe) yet another incentive to pick up a new Nintendo 3DS XL for the holidays. Any owner of a 3DS XL system who registers the system with Club Nintendo before January 13, 2013 will receive a free, that’s right, free, download of a full retail 3DS game! Any 3DS XL registered with Club Nintendo before January 13 is eligible, so if you own one of these and you live in Europe, there’s no reason to not take up the offer! That is, unless you already have all the games I suppose…

After January 1, 2013, 3DS XL owners will be able to download one of the following games for free: Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Freakyforms Deluxe, New Art Academy, and New Style Boutique. The specific countries which are eligible for the promotion are UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Portugal, Belgium, and the Netherlands. There’s no word on a similar promotion coming to other territories, but let’s keep our fingers crossed!
