Platinum Games designer Hideki Kamiya said earlier this week that a Wii U eShop release of Bayonetta is dependent on Sega or Nintendo.
“It’s up to Sega or Ninty,” Clover Studios alum replied in a Twitter post to a tweet requesting that Platinum “consider a technically proficient eShop release of” the first Bayonetta title on the Wii U.
The proposed port of the game will allow those unfamiliar with the hair-clad witch to be prepared in time for Bayonetta 2, exclusive to the Wii U.
Bayonetta was exclusive to the PS3 and Xbox 360, and fans will remember the last year’s outcry over the sequel’s exclusivity.
What do you guys think? Excited for the chance to play Bayonetta for the first time, or did you manage to run through the action-adventure last gen?
It would make sense to relese the first in a series of games on a console before introducing the sequel. It will come down to the price and whether it is marketable.
