For creators, finally seeing the result of years of hard work come to fruition can be a moving experience. Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle director Davide Soliani found himself apparently moved to tears when the game was officially announced during Ubisoft’s E3 presentation last week. Pictures of Soliani quickly began making the rounds on social media, with many showing their support.
With E3 now at an end, Soliani is back in Italy, where he received a t-shirt from the rest of the Mario+Rabbids team, showcasing his moment in the spotlight. Above his picture from the show, the shirt reads “#DontCryUbisoftMan.” Soliani took to Twitter to show-off the new clothing article, and it shows that the director is clearly a good sport!

With any form of media, it’s often easy to forget that there are so many people behind-the-scenes making the things we love. Creating a video game can take years, and in the process, creators have children, get married, lose loved ones… it’s a long, and often stressful process. Soliani’s moment during E3 was certainly one of the show’s highlights, giving fans a rare, humanizing glimpse at one of these such creators.
