Indivisible was a Kickstarter success that has been plagued with problems peripheral to the game itself for months now. The game was accidentally released on Nintendo Switch back in April of this year, with head of development studio Lab Zero Mike Zaimont declaring on Twitter that he had no idea that game was set to launch on the platform at that time. It was an innocent enough mixup, but the troubles were just beginning.

A few month later between July and August, multiple allegations of abuse were levied against Zaimont by Lab Zero staffers. These accusations were of sexual, emotional, and physical incidents on the part of Zaimont and ultimately led to numerous developers vacating their roles within the company. After that, Zaimont began facing funding issues and laid off what workers remained. In the time since the allegations hit and the employees jettisoned, Lab Zero has been quiet on social media, but the silence has broken with word that the troubles with the company are now negatively impacting Indivisible.

Lab Zero has been shuttered and publisher 505 Games has finally come forward with a statement about further production of the game. You can read the statement below:

In brief, Indivisible was set for several more pieces of DLC, but all of it has been canceled in the wake of Lab Zero’s closure. Furthermore, physical copies were solicited for this November, but plans for that have been massively scaled back, with 505 Games stating that it is “expecting a small batch of North American physical Nintendo Switch cartridges at select retailers.” The FAQ page for Indivisible says to hang tight for more details later on. It’s a sad end for a game that by all rights lived up to the hype and delivered what fans were looking for. Note that digital copies of the game are not being cut off at this time, so anyone wanting to play Indivisible can still give it a whirl.
