Fans of horror have had a number of fun games to enjoy on Nintendo Switch over the years. Coming this March, PM Studios will be bringing yet another such title to the console with Ikai. Joined with the small three-person dev team at Endflame, Ikai brings first-person chills where the main character is incapable of fighting back. Take a look:

Here’s a little about the game from PM Studios:

Dark Japanese folklore comes to life in this psychological horror game where your only defense against the abominable demons is your ability to ward them off with mystical kanji.

  • FEAR: Experience the horror in first-person by the hand of Japanese spirits, monsters, and yokai.
  • EXPLORATION: Wander around a feudal Shinto shrine and explore to unveil the story behind Naoko, the main character.
  • DRAWING: Concentrate on drawing protective seals over the strange sounds and events happening around you.
  • PUZZLES: Pit your wits against challenges that will try to stop you
  • STEALTH & RUN: Be silent, do not disturb the evil… Or just run, run away from it all, if you can.

If you’re a fan of physical media, there will be a cartridge version of Ikai available on launch day. It comes with a sticker sheet and postcard. Pre-orders are offered by a number of fine retailers, but you can also just head to the eShop on March 29. Will you be picking this one up? Let us know down below!
