If you were among the many who weren’t able to get hold of a Nintendo Switch 2 reservation when pre-orders opened back on April 24, take heart—GameStop might just be able to save the day. According to the retailer, it is planning to have stock of the console both in-store and online on launch day, which is June 5, 2025. GameStop made the announcement via its official X account:

GameStop says that it will be hosting launch events in its stores beginning at 3 PM local time on June 4. You’ll actually be able to pick up a Switch 2 starting at midnight on 06.05. It’s sure to be a struggle for these in-store consoles, especially, so be early and be safe if you choose to go this route. It’s nice to have a second chance for those who are still hoping to get a Switch 2—good luck to those who will be on the hunt!
