The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD launches tomorrow for Nintendo Switch, but for many the game will be missing an integral companion: the special Zelda & Loftwing amiibo. While alluring as a collector’s item alone, it’s also got a functional purpose that is making it quite sought after, which is that the figurine can be used to send Link back soaring into the sky at any time. Unfortunately, shipping delays have resulted in the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo to be delayed on its journey to stores. Here’s a statement that was given to IGN by a Nintendo of America rep:

“The Zelda & Loftwing amiibo figure is currently impacted by unforeseen shipping delays. As a result, only a small portion of the Zelda & Loftwing will be available on its scheduled July 16 launch date. Additional shipments are delayed until August. We will ship additional amiibo to retailers as soon as they arrive.”
It’s hard to say who will be among those that are able to get some of the small batch that will arrive by tomorrow. Hopefully if you’re one of the lucky consumers to even get a pre-order in, you’ll be among them. If we learn more about this situation we’ll be sure to update this story and let you all know.
