Splatoon remains one of the best reasons to own a Wii U; it brought a fresh new take to a tired genre and proved Nintendo could compete in the multiplayer shooter market. Naturally, Splatoon 2 is one of the most anticipated titles coming to Switch. Like its predecessor, Splatoon 2 will have a Global Testfire event, effectively a beta of sorts to test the game’s systems and get player feedback.
The Testfire is scheduled to run from March 24-26; however, the download for it is already available on Switch’s eShop. If you’re planning to participate, then you might as well download it now rather than procrastinate and miss the opportunity to play as much as possible. Check the graphic below for the specific times the Testfire will be running.
Splatoon 2 is currently scheduled for a summer 2017 release, so be sure to take advantage of the Testfire while you can, because it will be several months before you’ll be able to get your hands on the full game.

I can’t help but wonder how well this will actually go. I assume a major part of it is supposed to be a server stress test, but the number of people who are physically able to own a Switch at the time of the test and the time the game releases is going to be overwhelmingly different. Isn’t much a stress test when the number of participants is artificially low.
