Nintendo 3DS has been relatively quiet as a platform for new video games in the years since Switch was launched, but that might be changing soon if Atooi has anything to say about it. The developer has updated fans on the status of its compilation the Atooi Collection, which was first announced back in July of 2019. Here’s the latest status of the project:
Yes. Atooi Collection has been approved by Nintendo Lotcheck and now we are waiting on Nintendo’s approval of cover art, cart label, etc. Once approved, manufacturing will begin. Once the product is in-hand, Atooi Collection will go on sale via @LimitedRunGames‘ site. 🥳 https://t.co/KhXy5oDIHW pic.twitter.com/y242Xa6cXC

This is great news for fans of Nintendo’s last handheld, as well as those who enjoy Atooi’s excellent library of games. There’s no official release window or release date for Atooi Collection, but here are the games that are expected to be part of the assemblage:
- Mutant Mudds
- Mutant Mudds: Super Challenge
- Bomb Monkey
- Xeodrifter
- Chicken Wiggle
We’ll keep you all posted when Atooi gives us firm launch details, but until then look forward to eventually being able to play Atooi Collection on your 3DS!
