Using Amiibo figures with Mario Kart 8 will enable the player to use themed costumes with their personal Miis, according to today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast. The functionality will be available from November 13.
By placing the corresponding Amiibo on the Wii U GamePad, players will be able to unlock different Nintendo-themed racing suits with which they can dress their Mii. The following Amiibo figures will be compatible with Mario Kart 8:
- Mario
- Luigi
- Princess Peach
- Yoshi
- Donkey Kong
- Link
- Captain Falcon
- Kirby
- Samus
- Fox McCloud
