3DS Media Event Live Coverage & Reactions

We’ve showed you what Nintendo has lined up between the months of March and June, but what do other companies have in store for players on 3DS? Luckily, we have that information! Here are some launch window games for 3DS, from companies like Sega, Tecmo, Capcom, and EA! Included are short descriptions, screenshots, and trailers! Oh yeah, and subscribe to our Youtube channel!

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D

  • Resident Evil 4’s popular “Mercenaries” mode in 3D!
  • Classic locations from previous Resident Evil games
  • Switch to first person shooter control for the first time in the RE series
  • Also, shooting while running!
  • Online 2 player co-op

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

  • The legendary Street Fighter in 3D!
  • 2 player online multiplayer
  • New “behind the shoulder” mode
  • Button and combo mapping to the touch screen

Super Monkey Ball 3D

  • Super Monkey Ball action in 3D!
  • 3 game modes: classic, Monkey Race, Monkey Fight
  • Use of either motion sensor or analog pad to move through mazes
  • 4 player wireless multiplayer

Madden NFL Football

  • 3D-specific camera angles, “Spotlight Moments” in 3D
  • Full Madden experience, all 32 teams, season mode, etc.
  • Playcalling for all gamers: GameFlow, Arcade, and Classic allow gamers of all calibers to call plays and execute them successfully
  • 5-on-5 backyard-esque mode, no penalties or play clock
  • Draw plays and audibles on the fly with the touch screen

The Sims 3

  • Build a sim with your own likeness using the 3DS camera
  • Use StreetPass to trade sims between friends
  • Travel to different zones with your Sims
  • New Karma powers allow things like blowing into the console to release tranquil butterflies or shaking the console to cause an earthquake

Bust A Move Universe

  • The iconic Bust A Move franchise in vibrant blooming 3D
  • Value priced lower than other 3DS launch titles, no word on what this actually means or how much that actually is
  • Promises to be a “whole universe of fun”

Dead or Alive Dimensions

  • High-octane DOA action in full 3D
  • Local and internet multiplayer
  • Tag battles with a partner/friend
  • Storyline pans from DOA to DOA4
  • More than 20 fighters
  • Interactive move list using the touch screen

Samurai Warriors: Chronicles

  • A “living 3D battlefield”
  • Rewrite history, battle with and along with historical figures during the Warring States period of Japan
  • 2 player online co-op
  • Downloadable scenarios, StreetPass allows players to share warrior info, battle results, and even new battle scenarios
  • Morale and friendship mechanic, influences multiple endings

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D

  • 3D allows players to depict their distance between other players and the goal
  • StreetPass used to compare team stats with another player’s; if your stat’s are higher, you win. Winning StreetPass comparisons allows you to unlock classic teams and players

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars

  • “Eye-popping” 3D cutscenes and in-game events
  • Touch screen used for map navigation
  • Six classes with unique skills: Commando, Sniper, Recon, Engineer, Gunner, Medic
  • 1 on 1 multiplayer
  • 30 hours of gameplay

Ridge Racer 3D
