Some of the Nintendo LEGO sets are starting to be retired, but that doesn’t mean the collaboration between the two companies is ending any time soon. Besides the Mario sets teased roe 2027, the Nintendo Today! app is showing off an upcoming LEGO team-up with everyone’s favorite simian frenemy: Donkey Kong! If you head to the app, there’s a brief stinger that depicts a LEGO barrel rolling acrpss the screen with the caption “rolling soon.”
So, what does this collaboration entail? It’s hard to say, but we have seen DK in LEGO form already as part of the Super Mario LEGO lineup. There’s an entire section of the LEGO website devoted to DK, in fact, so one can’t help but wonder what will be different with this new announcement. Beyond this stinger there isn’t much else to go on, so why not let us know what your theories are in the comments and on social media?
