Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is tantalizingly close to its December 4, 2025 release date. While there has been a decent amount of information released about the game thus far, the recent overview trailer dropped by Nintendo has given fans an even deeper look into Metroid Prime 4 and what to expect. Here’s the lowdown on what the trailer talks about:
- Four primary regions to explore on the planet Viewros:
- Fury Green (jungle)
- Volt Forge (factory)
- Ice Belt (research lab)
- Flare Pool (volcanic facility)
- 3D maps are back
- Scanning is key for gathering information about Viewros
- Control Beam: Use psychic abilities to direct the beam towards enemies
- Psychic Glove: Manipulate things like machinery from a distance
- The central hub areas seems to be a desert called Sol Valley, which is where you’ll do the bulk of your riding on the Vi-O-La motorcycle
- Galactic Federation Troopers are scattered around Viewros and will even join in on Samus’s battles here and there throughout the adventure
- Two modes to play in:
- Quality Mode: 4K 60fps HDR
- Performance Mode: 1080p 120fps HDR
