Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition Pre-Orders Off to a Rocky Start

Good luck getting a copy!

Nintendo, in one of the company’s typically quirky moves, is selling the Special Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 exclusively via its MyNintendo website. For those who are attempting to log on and secure a copy for themselves, it’s been a rough start. Clicking on the link to the pre-order page has been resulting in extremely long wait times, if the chance to wait even occurs at all—the link itself as of this writing is sometimes leading to an error page.

If you’re fortunate enough to land a pre-purchase of the Special Edition, it comes with the following goodies:

  • Physical edition of the game
  • SteelBook game case
  • Special Edition box featuring art by Masatsugu Saito
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collected Works, a full-color, 250-page hardcover art book

It’s unclear how limited the Special Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be. Sadly, many consumers will likely be forced to turn to opportunistic scalpers in order to enjoy this version of the game. Did you get hold of a pre-order? Tell us in the comments!
