Pokémon Rumble Rush Shuttering After Just a Year

The Pokémon brand is one typically associated with success, but that isn’t necessarily always so. This is particularly the case with the series’ various mobile titles; Pokémon Duel just ended its service in October of 2019, for instance. Yet, even in the case of Duel, that game was able to at least remain on the market for a couple of years before being put out to pasture. That will not be the case for Pokémon Rumble Rush.

Pokémon Rumble Rush launched in May of 2019 on iOS (July on Android) but will be closing down operations almost exactly a year later on July 22. The game is dependent upon an Internet connection to be played, so once the service ends, Rumble Rush will be gone for good. Purchases of Poké Diamonds are now suspended and refunds will start being issued on July 22, so any users with unspent currency in their accounts can at least look forward to being reimbursed.
