Second Splatoon 2 Soundtrack CD Coming to Japan

No word of it coming over to our shores, naturally…

If there’s anything about Splatoon 2 that can be unanimously agreed upon, it’s that the soundtrack is every bit as exceptional as its predecessor’s. After a number of updates, multiple tracks have been added to the game, resulting in a very eclectic and large selection of music to listen to. Nintendo has already released a soundtrack for Splatoon 2 over in Japan, but apparently one wasn’t enough. A new, second soundtrack for the game is now on its way!

Splatoon 2 will be getting the much-hyped Octo Expansion DLC this summer, which will in turn bring yet more music to the game. This music, along with all the other tracks that have been added to the game via updates, will be on this second soundtrack CD. Dubbed Octotune, it comes in two flavors: regular and limited edition. The former comes with all the music I just described, while the latter will come loaded with a Blu-ray of theĀ Game Party Japan 2018 performance of a number of Splatoon 2 tracks.

Note, the standard edition of Octotune also has these performance tracks, but in audio form only. The limited edition is the only way to get the Blu-ray. Will you be plunking down cash to import yourself a copy? There’s no word yet on Octotune coming to the West, and considering the first soundtrack has yet to come here, importing is likely to be your only option. Let us know your plans in the comments and on social media!
