Developer Forge Reply has announced that Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf is coming to Nintendo Switch this week, on February 16, and is currently available for pre-loading on the eShop.
From the mind of the late British fantasy author and game designer Joe Dever comes Lone Wolf, an RPG with a non-linear narrative that is inspired by choose-your-own-adventure gamebooks from the 80s. Dever wrote the game’s story before his passing in 2016.
The game follows Lone Wolf, last of the order of the Kai Lords, as he seeks to stop the sinister Darklords and their attacks against the Kingdom of Summerlund. The battle system is turn-based and Lone Wolf has both melee and ranged abilities. Through the game’s “deep character customization”, combat can be tailored to suit each player’s wants and needs.
Lone Wolf’s story is told in four acts and partially depicted as a story in a medieval tome with hand drawn illustrations.
