Numerous people have decried Switch for not having an activity log; many fans enjoy being able to look back at how long they’ve spent playing particular titles. There was a workaround in the form of Switch’s parental control app on mobile devices, but even it was limited, as the feature wasn’t native to the console itself and only gave daily playtime totals versus a running tally. It was a shame to see the feature gone, especially considering that both Wii U and 3DS offered it, but as it happens, players were apparently wrong about the omission from the get go.
Players who have been fiddling around with their Switch systems in the week since its launch are starting to notice that there is indeed an activity log — it just doesn’t present itself until after the console has been played for a while. Head to the User Profile page on the system to see your own info, and then hit up your friends list to see what your buddies’ playtimes are. The figures are given broadly, listing a number of hours “or more”, but it’s much better than nothing and daily totals.
