E3 this year was a HUMONGOUS letdown. The only thing completely new was “Nintendo Land,” which just looks like a glorified Mario Party – except it’s even more painfully casual with a gimmick excuse for including less mini-games. All the speakers did was ramble on and on about the same things Iwata already told us Sunday night.
I never thought I’d say this, but gosh does Mario need to take a break for awhile… Five of the seven first party titles were Italian plumber-based, and even a couple of the third party games included “nods” to brickbreakers.
Pikmin 3 was the best part, and it was shown right at the beginning. I should have turned the feed off immediately after that… What a waste of an hour…
As a side note, I wonder if Takamaru’s got a fighting chance for the next Super Smash Brothers… I can already see the Smash Boards now… It’s gonna be worse than the Nook Wars of ’07…
Oh, but Wario Ware is coming too!

We’ve got it covered :)
Where.
Was.
RETRO!?!!?
Knew there was something missing. Maybe 3DS?
I agree. It started so promising…23 WiiU games, Pikmin 3, NSMBU…and then went nowhere from there.
Wii Fit? (yawn), Sing? (yawn) Mass Effect 3? Awesome but they didn’t even talk about it. Scribblenauts is nice but nothing great.
The UBISoft stuff we all saw yesterday.
Nintendo Land? This game should be a pack in in my opinion. It’s too bad they spent the last 15 mins talking about it. They are positioning this to sell systems like Wii Sports but I’d have to see a lot more content before shelling out money for it. I doubt the content is there.
And yeah, no Retro???
WHERE WERE THEY?
HUH?
HUUUUH?
