The console will be in short supply.

Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition system launches October 29, 2026, but it’s been murder trying to actually get in a pre-order for one of the things. Scalpers, naturally, are ruining everything for decent people, and so the hunt continues for countless Zelda fans. There’s a small ray of hope coming from Best Buy, however, as the retailer has announced that it will have limited stock the Zelda Switch 2 in its stores at the midnight launch for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Best Buy has a special page devoted to this topic, which includes the ability to check if a Best Buy near you is participating, as well as change your pre-order for the game from delivery to pick-up. If you’d like a closer look at the Zelda Switch 2, watch the above trailer or click this link for a whole bunch of lovely photos of the console and its accessories. Scalpers are very likely to try and infiltrate this event, so be sure to get to your local Best Buy early enough to beat them to the punch.
