You may remember from a few weeks ago (how could you forget?) that it was announced at Nintendo’s post-E3 direct conference that fighting/all-round developers extrordinaire Namco Bandai would be helping out with the development of the next Super Smash Bros. game for both Wii U and 3DS. Soon after this a torrent of drip fed information (can torrents drip?) began to leak regarding the game, with info ranging from man-in-charge, Masahiro Sakurai, stating that the next installment of Smash won’t simply be more of the same in the character department to a sneaky whiteboard drawing from development HQ hitting the Twittersphere. Exciting, we know.

Super Smash Bros. 4 whiteboard tease
We may have to agree with Smash-haters here, the new graphics definitely look a bit flat.

While Sakurai has pointed out that the next entry in the series is unlikely to see a whole new host of characters descending from the world of Nintendo, the chances of a Namco-born character joining the action are much higher so for this week’s poll, we’re asking you who’d you like to see from the world of Namco Bandai join the Smash roster and challenge the world crossover style! We’ve picked five heroes from across the Namco universe (some known for their fighting prowess… some not so much) and we’d like to see who you want to play as in the next Smash game. Didn’t include your favourite? Shame on us! Better tell us why they’re awesome in the comments’ section below!

With Namco Bandai helping to develop the next Smash Bros., which Namco character would you like to see make an appearance?
