Following a recent update to YouTube’s policies, many would-be Let’s Play creators are finding copyright dispute notices in their inboxes. While presumably affecting videos based on games by other publishers as well, Nintendo in particular has come under fire for this latest spate of copyright claims.

The story reported on IGN and other outlets across the web initially cast the Big N in a rather negative light, citing similar claims made by the publisher earlier this year. It seems that this time, however, Nintendo is guiltless as the disputes stem from legal issues between the video streaming site and the National Music Publishers Association.

Have any of you readers experienced issues with your video uploads? Do you feel that Nintendo was unjustly used as the Internet’s punching bag? Sound off below!
