Looks like Nintendo has been taking a page from The Beatles and is starting to rely on a little help from its friends.

In the latest Iwata Asks, it was revealed that Namco Bandai was the company that was handling the development of Wii Sports Club. While Nintendo assisted in the making of the game, it was mostly at the hands of Namco. The company, best known for Pac-Man and Tekken, was originally just going to be a coordinator on the project; however, by the end of the process, it was mostly Namco who made things happen.

Arguably the game’s most talked about feature, online play, is actually due to the developers from Namco Bandai. In Wii Sports Club, you can now play tennis online with friends or other players, something that will most definitely bring the series to another level.

Wii Sports Club hits the Wii U eShop on November 7 for both Europe and North America.
