Universal Parks Are Getting Nintendo Rides

Not exactly Nintendo Land yet.

I’m pretty sure anyone who’s played Nintendo Land thought of how exciting it would be to visit an actual Nintendo theme Ppark. While we’re still not there yet, the possibility of it becoming reality is slowly growing, as Nintendo and Universal Parks and Resorts are partnering to produce some park attractions based on Nintendo products. According to the announcement,

“Now, for the first time, those stories and characters will be brought to life in entirely new ways – only at Universal theme parks. The immersive experiences will include major attractions at Universal’s theme parks and will feature Nintendo’s most famous characters and games.”

It’s too early for more specific details, but not too late to start speculating which Nintendo games will make it into Universal parks. My money’s on the Donkey Kong County series, since it would be too easy to recreate those infamous mine cart sequences. Do you have any good suggestions regarding other possible franchises? Let us know the comments.

It’s a great day to be a Floridian!

More than anything I’m excited for the exclusive merchandise and character photos. I know we’re a long way off but this news made my day.

I spent most of this morning dreaming of attraction ideas. If it ends up in Universal’s Islands of Adventure, I’m moving in. Seriously, between this and Marvel island, they’ll have to kick me out.
