It’s been a good year for Mario’s younger brother. That trend seems to show no signs of stopping, either. During today’s Nintendo Direct conference, Nintendo announced that Luigi will appear in a couple of previously announced titles. The first is Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U and 3DS. Luigi marks the 14th fighter announced for the latest game in Nintendo’s much beloved fighting game series. Luigi’s appearance should come as little surprise, though. After all, he has appeared in every title in the series thus far!
That said, the second title Luigi will be showing up in is a little less anticipated. That’s because he and his brother (whose name I forget), will both be appearing as costumes for Globox and Rayman in the upcoming Wii U title Rayman Legends. Not bad for someone used to playing second fiddle!
Rayman Legends will be released on September 3, while Super Smash Bros. still has a vague 2014 release planned. Will you be checking them out? As always, let us know in the comments below!
