It’s starting to feel a lot like the good old Wii days when looking at Switch’s sales numbers, at least in Japan. Nintendo’s new hybrid console has been a hit put of the gates in its homeland and continues to be red hot moving into its second month on store shelves. This is good news for Nintendo, especially considering the competition, Sony’s PlayStation 4.

Despite being this console generation’s number one seller for a couple of years now, Switch is proving to be a formidable opponent, outselling PS4 within the same time frame early in its life. Check out the sales numbers, as outlined by Kotaku and 2ch:

Pretty impressive stuff, and hopefully Nintendo will do its best to capitalize on so many people adopting its latest system. Only time will tell if Switch continues to be a draw in the Land of the Rising Sun and internationally, but for now the House of Mario and its fans can bask in the glow of the console’s success.
