Before we incite a society damaging riot of fear and panic, let’s clearly establish that this problem is not affecting everybody and so far has only reared its ugly head in Japan and Europe. With that out of the way, here is the problem.
When loading a game last saved in Lumiose City, some people are experiencing a glitch in which the game freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. If this happens, you can turn the console off and reboot the game to start a brand new journey from the very beginning, knowing that your team of beloved creatures and epic adventures have now been relegated to nothing more than mere memories now that your save file has been obliterated.
Unfortunately, Nintendo has not released any official statement regarding this issue, nor has anybody found a fix.
