Atlus has confirmed that the recently announced Shin Megami Tensei V will indeed be making its way to the West.
The game was originally teased at Switch’s announcement event in January, and was officially announced in October. However, wasn’t confirmed at that stage whether it would be released outside of Japan.
Atlas has also released the below English version of the announcement trailer to coincide with the news:
No other details have been released at this stage, including a price or release date. All we do know is that it will take place in modern Tokyo and that players will “face a new onslaught of demons”.
The last numbered entry in the series, Shin Megami Tensei IV, was released on 3DS in 2013, so it will be interesting to see how the developer makes use of the Switch’s hardware this time around.
