It’s no secret that I’m a big fan Atlus and its games. As shown by fantastic games like Persona Q, Atlus constantly releases quality JRPG games on Nintendo platforms. That trend doesn’t look like it will stop any time soon, as Atlus announced that it’s making Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker exclusively for 3DS.
This is going to be a remake of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 for DS with a ton of new features, such as new abilities, voice acting throughout the whole game, and a new storyline that doubles the length of the original game! Those that have played the original even have an option to skip to the added storyline, allowing players to experience the new content right away. Of course, you can also experience both parts of the game if you are never played the original as well. The game will release in North America for $49.99 in early 2015. Unfortunately, there’s no word on a European release date at the time of writing.

Sounds like they’ve done a much better job adding content when they ported this game than with the original SMT:DS.
This series isn’t one that I am super excited for – Persona Q is much more in line with my gaming tastes and likely the next game I’ll buy – but it’s great to see Atlus continuing to support 3DS with quality releases and remakes!
