Level-5’s original game compilation, Guild 01, was never supposed to make it outside of Japan, but thankfully the existence of the eShop made it easy to distribute virtual copies of each individual game overseas. Gamers were treated to games like Liberation Maiden, Crimson Shroud, and Aero Porter, which were all well-received and led to the distribution of Guild 02 games on the eShop as well. Yet, there was one Guild 01 game that never made it to the west, and that was Weapon Shop De Omasse. However, it seems that fans will finally be able to complete their Guild 01 collection, as the game was recently rated by Australia’s Classification Board.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the title, Weapon Shop De Omasse is a game about forging weapons for various adventurers through rhythm-based gameplay. Level-5 originally stated that the large amount of text and numerous cultural references prevented the game from being localized, but it seems that the company has had a change of heart! There has been no official confirmation that the game is coming to the west, but I’ll be ecstatic if it ever does! Personally, Weapon Shop De Omasse always appeared to be the most interesting of the Guild 01 games, so having it localized would be a dream come true.

What do you think about the recent turn of events? Are you excited by the potential localization of Weapon Shop De Omasse? Sound off in the comments below!
