Nightly News Roundup

3DS Might Be Making People Sick

Japanese publication Friday reports that Nintendo’s new handheld might be making players experience something similar to “seasickness.” A reporter mentioned that he had been “dizzy” after playing it for ten minutes, among reports from others of “tired eyes.”

Could this possibly be just a first-time thing? Keep in mind that Friday is a tabloid magazine and that there weren’t many, if any reports of people becoming sick when the system was demoed at E3.

Majesco, Sega reveal 3DS Titles

Majesco, known for titles such as Cooking Mama, Jillian Michaels Pocket Trainer, and My Baby 3 and Friends will be releasing two new games based on original IPs for 3DS. Face Kart: Photo Finish lets players create a their own customizable racer or race track using the 3DS’s cameras, and Pet Zombies in 3D seems to be a pet simulator a la Nintendogs, but with zombie pets that you keep undead using “morbid activities”. Face Kart seems like a kid friendly title, while the description of Pet Zombies seems quirky enough to appeal to the older audience. There is no art for either game as of yet.

Also, Yuji Naka, creator of Sonic, has spoken to Famitsu about his very own 3DS game. The game, exclusive for 3DS and Wii, is called Tenkuu no Kishi Rodea. The Wii version uses pointer control, and shaking the Wii remote while pressing the B button allows you to fly. The A button is used to fire a weapon or perform a spinning attack. It does not seem like he spoke much about the 3DS version, which sounds a bit like Kid Icarus: Uprising.
