Nightly News Roundup

Wii U’s First North American Commercial

It’s finally here. In a couple of weeks, Wii U will be released in North America! But what is this? The people in the commercial doesn’t seem excited at all! Something is clearly wrong with them. The commercial showcases a lot of what we already know about Wii U, its features, and its launch lineup. Get excited!

Wii U will be released on November 18th.

Wii U Web Browser Looking Good on HTML5 Test

The HTML5 test ranks different browsers to HTML5 standards. Specific elements tested include audio, video, canvas, and security. Wii U scored a total of 323 out of 500. On the other hand, Xbox 360’s browser scored a 120, Nintendo 3DS scored a 109,  Nintendo Wii scored a 94, and Sony Playstation Vita scored a 58.

This is a great sign for Wii U. A strong web browser means that gamers will be more connected, which means that downloadable content will be more accessible and more meaningful. That is, a strong web browser can lead to great things for Wii U’s eShop and Wii U’s indie game market!

Will Wii U’s Web Browser be important to you? I am rather old school. I use my phone for making calls. I use my laptop for checking emails. And I use my Wii to play games. Are you more tech savvy? Let us know what you think about the Wii U Web Browser in the comments!
