Could 11/18 be the day?
The waiting stage of next generation consoles is in full force now that Nintendo fans are mere months away from Wii U and the competition’s offerings aren’t too far off. With the ticking clock comes more release date leaks than the amount of bananas in DK’s horde.
At the GameStop Manager’s Conference, peripheral maker PDP supposedly gave a November 18th release date for its line of Wii U accessories. PDP’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, William Otte, has since gone on record claiming a mix-up involving the launch date of the company’s Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two accessories.
Keep in mind, despite PDP downplaying the November 18th date for Wii U peripherals, that date is in fact a Sunday (Nintendo likes those) and fits right in with past console launch dates.
Writer Emily Rogers has contacted different developers and has learned that Wii U eShop games will give their respective creators more revenue than other gaming outlets, such as Xbox Live and PSN. Apparently, the Big N is doing their best in making sure their fans get the best of both worlds after Wii U arrives. Whether it’s a small digital title, retail game or indie product, Nintendo’s on the hunt with Wii U and the company’s ever-growing eShop.
Something old, something new
Rest assured the next two Smash Bros. games will contain old characters with new moves and numerous new fighters. The news comes from Mr. Sakurai, the series director, at a recent Japanese developers conference.
Let’s cross our fingers for a sneak peek at E3 2013 next June!
