Fans of Moon, the atmospheric DS first-person shooter from Renegade Kid (developer of Dementium and Mutant Mudds) are certainly in for a bit of good news– earlier today, Renegade Kid co-founder and Creative Director Jools Watsham revealed over Twitter that the studio would be regaining the rights to the Moon IP next year.

Prior to the announcement, Watsham had expressed interest in returning to the universe for a sequel, but legal issues– the IP was owned by publisher Mastiff– prevented it from ever happening. Perhaps now, with the property back under its control, Renegade Kid can finally develop a followup to the game.

Have you played Moon on DS? Would you be interested in a sequel? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
