Pokémon fans might have a couple more months to wait for the latest installment in the franchise, but eager fans will get an early taste of what the title has to offer. That’s because Nintendo has announced that a demo for the title is on the way in the near future.
Making the demo even more enticing is the fact that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will reward players for downloading the game’s first look. The demo will give players access to a brand-new Mega Evolution, and will feature gameplay that won’t exist in the games themselves. The Pokémon Company has released a few screenshots from the demo, which we’ve mirrored below.
Details on how to obtain access to the demo are unknown at this time. We do know that a special code will be required, rather than a straight release on the Nintendo eShop. Considering the popularity of the franchise, it’s likely that the code might be some kind of timed exclusive, similar to today’s Super Smash Bros. demo release.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will arrive on the Nintendo 3DS on November 21. Stay tuned to Nintendojo where we’ll have more information regarding the game and demo in the near future.
