Our selection of Wii Virtual Console games may have dried up following the release of Metroid Prime Triology last month, but Nintendo still has plans to add more Wii titles to the Wii U eShop…in Japan, at least. Three more Wii games have been announced for the service: Zangeki no Reginleiv (originally unveiled as Dynamic Slash), Pandora’s Tower, and Sin & Punishment 2 (released in North America as Sin & Punishment: Star Successor).
While Zangeki no Reginleiv never made it stateside, the latter two games seem like perfect candidates for a Wii U re-release, particularly in North America: Pandora’s Tower is notable for being the last of the three RPGs championed by Operation Rainfall, while Sin & Punishment: Star Successor is a fast and frenetic rail-shooter by renowned developer Treasure. Both were released fairly late in Wii’s life cycle and as a result were largely overlooked, so this would be a great opportunity to reintroduce both titles to fans.
Pandora’s Tower will be released on the Wii U eShop in Japan on March 4. Sin & Punishment will follow on March 25.
Have you played either of these two titles when they were released on Wii? Would you download them if they were added to the Wii U eShop? Let us know in the comments!
