D-Pad Studio is really feeling the Owlboy love from Nintendo Switch owners, as the platformer has already turned a profit within 24 hours of launching on the console.
According to programmer and CEO J-Remi Madsen in a Reddit AMA:
“We don’t have numbers from remaining platforms yet, but ‘Owlboy’ turned a profit within 24h of its launch on the Switch alone, taking us by complete surprise! @o@ It bodes really well for funding our future projects.”
Owlboy has received high praise from reviews of the game on other platforms, so its no surprise that Switch owners were eager to get it into their library of games.
