It’s not the busiest week of notable releases from Nintendo, but both eShops have a title or two that should be on the radars of most fans. We’ve gathered the best of the best for your perusal, so read on below to find out what games are worth a download!

Releases

Wii U eShop

  • Super Meat Boy – $11.20 – This one has been a long, long time coming, folks. Developed by Team Meat, Super Meat Boy become a sensation when it launched on Xbox 360’s Xbox Live marketplace way back in 2010. The game was originally meant to hit WiiWare at the same time, but due to a couple of constraints, was sadly never able to do so. Thankfully, the super-hard, retro 2D platformer is finally debuting on the Wii U eShop! Definitely give it a look if you enjoy polished controls and extreme challenges!

Wii U Virtual Console

  • The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass – $9.99 – Link’s first adventure on Nintendo DS was notable both for being a direct sequel to The Wind Waker and for being playable using only touch controls. Nintendo made a wise decision in returning to the beloved setting and themes of The Wind Waker, but it was even more impressive how well the developer was able to translate the precision controls that the series is known for to nothing but stylus taps and flicks. The game should translate well to Wii U’s GamePad, so definitely give this gem a look when shopping this week.

Wii U DLC

  • Minecraft: Wii U Edition – Super Mario Mash-Up Pack – A free update, this pack will bring a slew of Super Mario-themed textures, sounds, and more to the game. You don’t have to pay for it, but it might be easy to overlook; make sure you get that update done and start mixing Minecraft with Super Mario the way you always wished you could!

3DS DLC

  • Fire Emblem Fates DLC Map – II: Realms Collide – $1.99
  • Fire Emblem Fates – Map Pack 2 DLC – $7.99 – Fire Emblem Fates, the excellent followup to Fire Emblem Awakening, has been tearing it up with these DLC map packs, and things don’t look like they’ll be slowing down anytime soon. Be sure to take advantage of the various bundles and pricing offers to get the most Fire Emblem-bang for your buck!

3DS Themes

  • Pokémon Radiant Collection
  • Pokémon Red and Blue
  • Pokémon: Here Comes Ash-Greninja

We don’t always highlight themes here on Nintendojo, but when they’re as cool as these, well, who can blame us? Take a peek below to see what we’re so stoked about!
